Figs and Turd cakes!

For Father's day I decided to make some lovely cup cakes!

I mixed the batter, which was so easy in this...

Then I "TRIED" to make some awesome filling, but failed! I felt the frosting was over powering the rest of the flavors to I decided to mix it with my own concoction of frosting...

Which I also FAILED at! I added the sugar and vanilla extract and it turned into soup! So When I was finally finished with my WANNABE "GOURMET" cupcakes, they looked like turd cakes and I confirmed to myself that I would NEVER be a contestant on cupcake wars! EVER!...

But surprisingly, they actually tasted pretty damn good! You just need to close your eyes first.

Today we picked figs! Hooray!!

So I think I'll try to google how to make fig preserves, so I can enter the Fig Preserve Wars show!! Just kidding, I'll probably fail at that too and end up with fig soup...

Well Helluuuuu!

Hi! One of my best friends, Teresa of vivacious running girl told me that I should start blogging about all the weird things that happen to me on a day-to-day basis. Or when alcohol is involved.
So to waste no time...I have a half fat lip! I woke up this morning and half of my bottom lip is swollen! I was going to wake up and take a nice picture of myself to say hello to the world but, NOOOO. That would be way to easy! I guess that's what happens when you try to kiss a lizard and he bites you.

He wasn't even a cute lizard...he didn't buy me dinner or anything.

But I guess he'll do while I wait to see my husband! Now I'm off to find some ice!
